We Came to the Feast!

The Feast at the Christian Church of Villa Park was a rousing time of praising God and being revived in body and spirit. This revival-type event took place on September 20, 2009 and September 21, 2009 under a tent in the yard of our church. We had about 130 people in attendance on Sunday evening and about 65 people on Monday evening. Both nights we began with praise singing which was followed by a delicious catered meal in the fellowship hall of the church. We then returned to the tent to hear the praise band, our special musicians, the word of the Lord, and the message from our guest preacher, Rev. Jose Morales. On Sunday, we were joined by the gospel choir of Bethel-Imani Lutheran Church in Chicago. On Monday, our special music was brought by professional musician Brian Hilligoss. Many of our members have said how spiritually uplifting the Feast was for them. We hope that our guests were revived in spirit as well. It was a blessing that so many people in our congregation worked together to make this event happen. And with God’s help, The Feast exceeded all expectations! We hope to have our second Feast in 2011.
