Cinco de Mayo Festival & Dance - May 5

April 2005

The junior high and high school youth of the church are spending their meetings this month putting together and practicing the worship service for Sunday, May 1^st. Be sure to be in the sanctuary by 10:30 that morning prepared for something completely different from the usual!
To finish preparing for worship, the youth will meet from 7-9 p.m. on April 17^th and 24^th, and will meet in the sanctuary on the morning of May 1^st at 9:15.

March 2005

Upcoming Youth activities include:

Saturday, March 12^th – Shopping and set-up for the Spaghetti Luncheon beginning at 10:00 am (meet at the church)

Sunday, March 13^th – Meet in the kitchen by 9:30 am to prepare spaghetti luncheon.

Sunday, March 20^th, 7:00 – 9:00 pm – First meeting to begin planning Youth Service for May 1st. Plan to be there is you want to participate in Youth Service.

January 2005

        We welcome Nicole Gilhooly and Drew Dahl who have recently joined our group!
        Meetings and activities for the Youth Group have been planned through the end of the school year. We hope all of our youth will join us for these meetings and events. Upcoming events include:

        January 30^th – Attend the Worship Service and Gathering of Urban Metro Area Churches in Rockford (the entire congregation is invited, but youth are invited to go as a group with the sponsors even if their families are not attending). Be at the church by 2:45 pm. Let Doris Carter or John Martin know by Sunday morning if you will be joining us.

February 6^th – Meeting immediately following worship (will include making plans for the upcoming Spaghetti Luncheon fundraiser). Lunch will be provided.

February 20^th – Cosmic Bowling (the next day is a school holiday). Details on time and place to come.
