Week of Compassion
Week of Compassion is more than a week. Week of Compassion is a ministry of the whole Church, serving vulnerable communities throughout the world. Any time and anywhere we respond to a need, we bear witness to the unity of the Lord's Table, faithfully sharing the gifts that we have received as an expression of Christ's love. As we work with partners, we represent the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) commitment to unity, allowing our resources and responses to reach farther, growing our impact on a global scale.

FIND COMMUNITY
We are the Christian Church of Villa Park called to embody God’s love – a love that embraces, liberates, and empowers – in relationships with all we encounter, whoever they are and wherever they find themselves on their journey of faith. We work to build community, to be in relationship with one another through the Spirit. We seek to do the work to which we are called with compassion, creating a space for all to share the radical welcome that we have received through Christ. We strive to answer God’s call to build community inside and outside our walls, being “imitators of God, as beloved children, and live in love, as Christ loved us.” (Eph. 5:1-2)
