“your redemption is drawing near” – Luke 21:28
Next week we celebrate Thanksgiving. As stores turn immediately to Christmas, the church readies itself to welcome the Christ child through the season of Advent.
God draws near to us. A promise is proclaimed. Signs are revealed. The way is prepared. A baby will be born, God with us. As we anticipate the coming of God in human form, God asks: how will we draw nearer. How do we prepare for the coming king? How do we respond to the child in our midst? How will our lives reorient to the nearness of God?
We celebrate the first Sunday of Advent on December 2, worshiping at 10:00 am. Join us as we light a candle for hope, finding God drawing near to us always.
